So long as we’re discussing audio pre-orders and amazing cover art, I highly recommend Andrew Rowe’s latest work, Edge of the Woods (releasing on September 12, 2023). While readers of Andrew’s works will find the setting somewhat familiar, this story marks the beginning of a new protagonist, a new land, and exciting new magic. I also feel it’s a great entry point into Andrew’s extended universe for any new readers curious about the progression fantasy genre. While I’m waiting on pins and needles for the release of Shattered Legacy 2 (so excited to hear what you all think of it!!), I’m already hard at work on book three. So far, the outline is complete, I have my cast of new characters, and quite possibly more ideas than I can fit in one over-sized fantasy novel (haha!). My biggest challenge will be keeping my word count in check in order to squeeze in everything I’m planning, so keep your fingers crossed. Work on book three begins NOW!

This last update will come to no surprise to anyone following me on Twitter or Instagram, but for anyone who hasn’t heard: I recently adopted three kittens!

All three are about three months old now and growing fast. The two orange and white ones are brothers from the same litter and the tiny black one (nicknamed The Darkness) is an unrelated female. My partner and I usually pick a theme when naming our pets, and for a pack of wild and energetic kittens, we couldn’t do better than to name them after a trio of anime ninjas.

All three have had their first two vaccinations, and the boys are scheduled for a certain “procedure” at the end of this month. (Sorry, guys! You won’t even miss them, I promise.)
